Ways of Supporting Look Park

Look Park is a private, nonprofit park that relies on donations (in addition to park fees) to operate. Your gift of cash, securities, life insurance, or through bequest and trust arrangements will help to sustain the Park for generations to come. Whether making a gift now or establishing a planned gift for the future, we will be happy to work with you on which option meets your needs.

All gifts to Look Park are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

An outright gift of cash allows the Park to continue to be a source of enjoyment, rest and relaxation for people of all ages. You can make a one-time gift or spread your gift out over time with smaller payments automatically through your checking or savings account or with a credit card through our monthly giving program. You may also make a gift on our website, lookpark.org.
*Please note that any annual fund donation of $150 or more is eligible for a Look Park Season Pass.

The Park accepts gifts of all sizes to remember loved ones or recognize someone special. Also, you may want to consider planting a tree at the Park in recognition of that special person in your life to leave a lasting legacy for generations to enjoy when they visit.

The Park holds two annual events to support of our efforts to keep the Park a beautiful place for all our visitors. You can support our Summer Celebration Auction (June) or Santa’s Trains at Look Park (December) through sponsorships or item donations. Sponsorship opportunities for the Franklin King III Children’s Series are also available.

The donor makes a provision in his or her will to benefit Look Memorial Park. Bequest and trust arrangements often provide the donor a significant and meaningful way to support the long term future of the Park.

A gift of securities may be beneficial for you. Some donors find a gift of this type to have significant tax advantages, especially if the gift amount does not produce income and has been substantially appreciated.

If the gift is a pre-paid life insurance policy with no additional premiums required, there is an immediate tax deduction equal to the replacement value of the policy. If Look Memorial Park is both the owner and beneficiary and the gift is irrevocable, the premiums are tax deductible.

With the breadth of activities and buildings on our grounds, there is a plethora of gifts in kind that can be utilized at the Park. We will update our needs periodically on our website.

There are a wide variety of opportunities to volunteer at Look Memorial Park. Whether it is one day a week, one day a month or one time a year, any time you can give us is truly appreciated. Our general volunteer areas include work on our grounds and facilities or supporting the work at our administrative office. We will work with you to find a position that fits your skills, abilities and time availability.
